Employees are more aware of their mental health issues than ever before, We need to help get our teams back on track with their wellness and help them feel alive again. 

 

Employees are more stressed, unhappy and there are more individuals on leave than ever before.  We have a major mental health crisis happening within the workforce.  We need to help our employees get back to feeling happy, encouraged and valued in the workplace, so they can bring their best selves to their lives.

 
 

The 5 Pillars of Healing in Fire to Light

Pillar 1

Intake

Intake is how we experience and internalize the events of our life.  

This pillar helps us realize how the events within our life impacts our thoughts and actions.  By understanding how our external environment plays a role in our internal environment, we begin to view our life and our actions from a different perspective, in turn helping to manage the stresses and trauma we all experience in our lives.  This knowledge and perspective guides us to a calmer state of mind, allowing for more positivity and productivity to enter our lives.

Pillar 2

The Mind

Learn how the mind works, from how it never forgets what it has experienced to understanding how to use our mind for our own benefit.   Our mind has the capacity to adapt and to create the lifestyle we have always wanted.  The Fire to Light program will provide a framework for understanding the mind, and how to use it for one's benefit.

Pillar 3

The Body

Our bodies are necessary for our jobs, in this pillar we learn how to navigate the body to regulate our stress, become a catalyst for change and to release trauma.  The body is an incredible tool, and the more we become aware of this, the healthier we become allowing us to better serve ourselves and our team members.

Pillar 4

Rest

Pillar 4 brings a new awareness to our understanding of rest by providing tools and examples of how we can rest in various ways.   We all, too often run on empty, however we all know that this is unsustainable. By learning new ways to implement rest throughout our day we begin to alleviate stress, add positivity, and replenish our bodies and minds so that we can remain focused even in the most stressful situations.



Pillar 5

Energy

Energy is something that is rarely talked about.  Discover how energy connects the mind and body and how we can utilize energy to help us heal and move toward a healthier life.  It takes energy for stress to gain momentum and it also takes energy for a person to heal, both physically and emotionally.  The understanding of energy allows us to more easily flow through the emotions of life, provides an acceptance of where we are and allows the next steps in our own growth to unfold before our eyes.  By recognizing that everything is energy, we start to become aware of our consciousness and the power we all have to make positive change in our lives.

With over a decade of firefighting experience coupled beside my entrepreneurial journey I have experienced and learned a great deal about the ways in which trauma and stress can have a negative impact on one’s life.  I have suffered my own mental health crisis and through Mental Fitness, I have discovered various ways to overcome my own mental health battle and to start living and thriving with my trauma.  I have a deep understanding of the stresses that present themselves in our lives both externally and internally.  With our team of psychologists, we have developed the Fire to Light Program. This program helps your team members understand the impact of their stressors, brings awareness to them and provides a brave space to take steps towards healing and living their best life possible.
